Little back history on this build.. Norm from R&MoM got me hooked on the Don Montgomery books on dry/salt lake racing and had to build an early dry lakes car. I choose to build in the pre 40's era jalopy.. Car is an Amt 29 Roadster with the Revell 29 P-up's 4cyl. Built close to stock just dropped the fenders and all the extra weight they would of back then to get the fastest time they could. Paint on the body is dark green and the interior and wheels are a pale yellow with lots of black, gray, and rust washes all over the car. Enjoy (pre numbers on side) As seen in NNL Nationals This car is the first of 2 cars i am doing this style. The next one is going to be 10 yrs later and be a DuVall windowed 29 on 32 rails, scot blown flatty and quickchange rear with the same number on the side... Thank for Looking.---- LATER

Love the Don Montgomery books, I've only been able to get two so far but the pre-war and early fifties is where most of my interest has shifted to in the last year...

Like the style and very well built. It is actually not the most common style to see on a model car, which makes it even better... I like souped up model A engines very much, too.
