someone definately needs to build this, its a great looking concept.
Is there any chance you have a larger picture it would be interesting to read the article. Sectioning and shortening a car doesnt seem all that "Practical" to me though haha.

CHOPPING, SECTIONING, ETC ARE WORK, BUT WITH PRACTICE YOU CAN GET REALLY GOOD RESULTS. I HAD TO PUSH MYSELF TO DO IT AND WORK TO GET BETTER. IF ONE HAS THE DESIRE, DETERMINATION AND PATIENCE WILL BRING GREAT RESULTS. VARYING HARD BUILDS WITH LESS MODIFIED ONES KEEPS THINGS FRESH AND EXPERIMENTATION WITH NEW TECHNIQUES (AND HELP FROM FRIENDS!) BRING PLEASURE. I LIKE THE LOOK!

Now take your caps lock off, please. On the internet and in email all caps equals SHOUTING! and is difficult to read. This is a fairly universal rule and considered common courtesy.

Does look great, though perhaps the door length needs altering, but wow what a lot of work!
In 1:1 you'd probably be better off fabricating all the panels from scratch and just matching them to the cut about base unit.
It was a more honest time, (modern tools and internet aside) if I tried to submit a feature (even as joke) saying the magazine staff lacked so much knowledge they had to run off to the used car lots to work out if anyone was still selling coupes my editor would shoot me.
