Sectioned More like Pancaked! Sectioned so much that it makes the greenhouse looks out of proportion without ever having anything done to it. The top of engine must be right up against the bottom of the hood. A sectioning that deep might look good on a convertible with a chopped windshield, although a convertible might also need a vertical section to shorten it up some to make it proportional again. Either way you look at it, that's a whole lot of work which is technically pulled off. Aesthetically, not so sure...

He did have a good set of skills considering he used a panel cutter, hack saw and gas welded it all together. I like his 1940 Ford rag top. Paul kustomrama.com/wiki/Gary_Overby

I'm a fan of that Cummins dual plug OHV conversion! Super cool.
I saw this pic today and had to post it; it's gotta be late 60s with that wild paint and the Appliance Apache wheels. I see a tunnel ram too, though, so maybe it's a little later? Anyway...

Believe it or not, but that car was actually even wilder in the mid-sixties. It had a dark green candy paintjob and had a number of assymmetic bodywork features.

Rocket exhaust tips
Apparently the flanges on the far ends are wrapped around the pipe and secured with hose clamps or something. The exhaust enters at that end then flows out the bottom of the rocket shape. This is the first that I've ever seen anything like this so I'm guessing that they weren't very popular.

I recognized it from its earlier incarnation, with the fantastic "wire frame" grille inset into the nose....but I didn't realize it had been re-done with that crazy psychedelic flower job

I remember that one too in both iterations, it was a regular in 1001 Rod & Custom Ideas... I like the Nova and the Pseudo-Roth '56 Ford Pick-Up in the background, the A Tudor is too distorted through the bubble top to tell how cool it looked.

Holy smoke Paul, that's the best shot yet that I've been able to find of the Davies DOHC. I was considering scratchbuilding a version for myself, but only had 2 or 3 small photos to reference. Thanks for posting that one!

Thanks for posting that one! Would that be a good candidate for 3D modeling with all the geometry involved?
