Chrome steelies on a slick Deuce roadster circa 1955. Ron, I agree everything in the photo looks 1955, but I wonder what the car is just in front of the '32, with just the end of the bumper showing? Is the picture larger than posted or is there another one showing more?

Chrome steelies on a slick Deuce roadster circa 1955. Ron, I agree everything in the photo looks 1955, but I wonder what the car is just in front of the '32, with just the end of the bumper showing? Is the picture larger than posted or is there another one showing more? I don't have anymore to the picture but the car in front of the roadster sure looks like a '53 Mercury to me. It would have been a relatively new car at the time.

Ron...i may be wrong...but i think the Merc is a '52 !!!!! the '52-'53 looked almost identical though...both it and the '32 are the TITS !!!!!!

Chrome steelies on a slick Deuce roadster circa 1955. There were a handful of guys running chrome plated Ford wheels back in the day, back in the 40's even. One such car that comes to mind is Phil Weiand's gold '27 track roadster. Like the red '32 above, they were, in fact, chrome plated '40-'48 Ford 16" wheels. Time to send some Revell '40 Ford wheels to Chrome Tech! ;D
