Should look good in your impressionistic style. A dark colored coupe in a late afternoon fall like setting is how I see it.

You saw it right Ron! The car will be a dark maroon. The tree is transitioning into fall from green to yellow, I might throw in a couple touches of orange as well. The building is sort of a Spanish style, warm off-white stucco and reddish trim and roof. Now to find the time. I have even more painting projects in the pipeline than model projects. David

Very cool David! It would look great in color. Painting those reflections in the body side will be challenging! Thanks Chris. Reflections can be as difficult or as easy as you want. I lean towards simplifying them greatly because I think heavy, detailed reflections detract from the form of the car. I'm not alone in that regard, there are a lot of top level automotive artists that all but neglect reflections. Of course there are automotive artists for whom the reflections are the subject. David

For sure...I'm generally not a fan of super crisp, attention-hogging reflections. I was thinking more of the difficulty in figuring out the correct value and color for say, a green bush reflecting in the side of a maroon car. I tend to go monochromatic in my art (maybe with some blue in the upper surfaces, and some warmer tones towards the bottom) in an attempt to sidestep reflections.
