Seeing some beautiful drawings in here, I thought I'd share some of mine too. Let me say first that I'm way behind some of the "Masters" in here, but no matter what, these are fun to draw. I think the biggest problem is that I simply can't draw cars from any else direction than from side, front or rear... I've tried to make a drawings from front corner, but they always turn out so goofy looking that they're too horrible to post in here. Here are two photos I had already uploaded in Photobucket. A couple of Ramchargers cars: This one is not quite done yet, maybe some day I'll have to finish it... When I find more of my drawings or when I do more of them, I'll post more pics...

Cool. I love car drawings!I started drawing from side views, too.
At the most basic level, cars are just boxes, sitting on cylinders. Learn how to draw boxes and cylinders in 3D, and you're most of the way to drawing cars in perspective!

Thanks! I think it's the round shapes that kill it when trying to draw cars in perspective. Once I tried to do a Dodge Aspen that has only few round curves as it's so boxy car. It turned out decent (Or should I say that you can recocnize that it's trying to be an Aspen ) but always if I try something else.... Well, let's just say that I don't succceed in it. More practise I guess. A couple of days ago I finished that Ramchargers Dodge Phoenix by drawing wheels and tires on it. I can't say I'm great at drawing wheels, but those turned out pretty good. I have to admit that I really like to hide wheels behind Full Moon-hubcaps in my drawing whenever possible... And here's one Chevy II that I did before I bought my 1:1 version. It looks pretty much like my 1:1 is going to look. I even tried to draw a driver inside as the car is doing a Burnout, but as you can see I'm not too great at drawing people...

That sounds really familiar, Gary! Here's a Corvette I did a while ago when it was a bit boring in school. I only added some color on it when I got home. Body shapes are not quite correct as I didn't have a reference picture of a full scale car next to me, but at least you can recocnize it as a Corvette even though it looks a bit goofy... This one turned out a bit better, a Vintage Dragster with Cadillac mill and a bunch of carburetors.
