Naw dude, sorry. That's awesome though!! *Edit* I was going to get Humpty-Dumpty a little more patched-together before posting an update, but that initial photo was perhaps cruelly misleading, so... Splat!

This is why I'm not touching the Custom class. I'm a chassis builder, not a body man.

This thing is mad, I would never have thought of that. This is why I'm not touching the Custom class. I'm a chassis builder, not a body man. I'm not sure I'm even a chassis builder, but I sure as hell get bogged down with bodywark, every time.

[/quote] Haha, there are umpteen points where this could turn into a flaming disaster! Bodywork prison is one of them. My hope is to get the body roughed in, plot a frame that fits the new shape, make a template to sit the body and tires in their desired position, and then plan the suspension to suit. Once I know roughly where the frame, hinges, engine, etc will go, I can go about reinforcing the body with braces because right now it's a flimsy wreck. *edit* Ed, you're on target with the gullwing door! That is, if I can get the body strong enough to cut that section out without causing a disaster

You almost have to ditch the vent windows now that you've come this far! LOL! I can't wait to see this one in the primer stage now! I'm waiting to see if any of our members are going to go out all with extensive scratch building that blows your socks off, 3D printing, or anything else beyond the 'norm' of model building we see here and on other forums..........not that killer builds aren't churned out via 'typical' building practices. At risk of putting my foot in my mouth; I think you know what I am trying to say here! LOL!

Haha, I thought about going crazy with 3D printed stuff Ed, but I think I can probably achieve what I want with traditional techniques. It's easy to spend mega bucks on aftermarket stuff; for instance I'd love to have about 40 RB motion rod ends, but I'm a cheapskate right now and I'll probably try to make my own linkages. Unless I could 3D print the entire frame and suspension and save some fab work.....food for thought!

Even though it's a butt-load more work to build all of the chassis parts I'd rather see it any day over the RB stuff.
I think this thing needs a hybrid Vette IRS with a quick change center.

With it being narrowed, I could see a '36 or '40 Ford frame working. Longer wheelbase, but it looks like you've moved the front wheels out already? Stranger things have been done...
