Sweet! Dig those lake pipes, spots and lancer caps. I could picture a guy in '60 customizing his brand-new truck just like this in the first week of ownership. And shortly thereafter, he'd be looking for some chrome wheels, haha. Might not be your favorite subject, but it turned out nicely!

Wow, If you don't like it I'll send you my address and you can send it to me. That looks great, I'm a big fan of the 60-66 Chevy/GMC pickups. I have owned several through the years and currently have 2 of them in the garage.

That Looks great! I haven't started mine yet or the Go Kart, yet! Like that color, didn't notice a "hood Up" picture so I'll assume that you used the stock six banger in it. I'm not really a six cylinder kinda guy, but I have a 409 sitting in my parts stash, haven't tried it for fit, but there should be enough room in that cavern to stuff anything under the hood, so I'm confident that it can be done. I've seen a W-Engine under the hood of that series in full size, looked good too!
Agree with the comments of someone buying a brand new '60 in '60 and the bolt ons were or would have been the first things done to it on the cheap, after all they just plunked down a large wad of cash to buy the pick up. Then started saving for the bigger custom touches to really make it pop! (Or the story could go...) The lighter color was a great choice too, it made it stand out a whole lot more than the box art dark blue. I think mine will be red body with white top, a neighbor had that color combination for years that's sort of what I think of when I think of the 60 - 65 Chevy Pick Ups.

I'm with you Irv, I am also not a fan of the styling on this year pickup from Chevy (or the 59 El Camino either). But you did a great job making this kit into a mild custom. Well done.

This turned out very nice! Personally, I'm a big fan of the Chevy Pickups from this era. And actually, pretty much all Pickups from the late '50s and early '60s are very good looking. Seeing this makes me want to buy one of these kits as well, even though I have one old SMP '61 Chevy Pickup that's waiting for a similar treatment as your version.
Anyway, I like all of the neat Custom touches that you added in here. Especially those hubcaps look perfect on the Pickup. Very cool Mild Custom!
