Just received a couple of '32 3w bodies from Drag City Casting. They're flawless, of course! Cheers to Dennis and Ed for the master and casting, respectively. Some dang nice work!
I probably won't build this car exactly like the photo because the parts are earmarked for other projects...but ya never know!

I am really dig'n your mock-up Chris! I am glad you were pleased with our efforts! Dennis doesn't know I'm keeping tabs on him; but I'll quote him in saying, "I think he and I make a good team!" LOL!

I ran the first test of my 3D printer tonight...pics later; I need to get some sleep. Just had to post because I'm delighted, haha.

Show us! It's 4 a.m. PDT -- I've been up for two hours looking for the Perseid meteors but haven't seen one.

Lol. Well, I don't have good photos. The white resin photographs poorly (*Edit* Or I do, lol)...I'll get some primer on these parts before too long and that should help.
Pictured are some Hemi headers with turnouts, SP-top Strombergs, Buick nailhead finned valve covers, and nailhead dual quad intakes.
In the meantime, the '50 Plymouth grille fits fairly well! It's the whole reason I wanted a '48 coupe kit. I like some Mopar in my Ford.

This '34 has been the subject of a number of mockups over the years. I think I chopped it in 2012 or something like that. This might be the version that actually gets built...testing out some 3D printed spindle-mount front wheels (but I don't have tires that fit them, might have to modify some) and 3D printed Enderle scoops. I'd like to put a semi-exposed chain drive on it, but also kind of want to keep it streetable. Just a nasty hot rod of the sort that would have shown up at Paso Robles.

That thing looks very bad-ass Are those shotgun style headers for a Nailhead? I don't recall seeing those on your Shapeways store before. But I could be wrong (or just not bright )

But I could be wrong (or just not bright ) Craig, I'm pretty sure I put the Nailhead shotgun headers up on Shapeways a while back. *checks* Yep! Here's the link: www.shapeways.com/product/6BW6UE7SE/buick-short-headers-and-shotgun-headers-2-packThe ones in the mockup are my attempts to 3D print a set of the shotgun headers on my own printer. I've experienced a run of failures; maybe 4th try will be the charm.

PLEASE send me that body to mold! LOL! My old master finally got damaged after molding it several times; and I always wanted a '34 with more chop than the first one I mastered...........pretty please?! LOL! I'll hook you up!

I would totally take you up on that Ed (I could use a couple more lean-chopped 34 bodies!) except this body is a hot mess. The A pillars and window moldings are absolute trash. I'm not sure the chop is square, the trunk has been cut out (not especially well), the back window lacks the stock reveal (it's a separate piece in the kit and I just left it out entirely)...this thing is nasty. I know you have very high standards, haha. You would be consumed with black despair if I sent you this thing! That said, I can happily share photos of what I did to it. Maybe I could even chop another, but my work is sloppy and I haven't mastered the CA technique that Dennis has used to get such clean and non-shrinking results.

Yes, please send me pics (e-mail them to me if you will). I may be able to work with this body just the same since the main work is done/started. If I have to log in a handful of hours myself to get it ready to mold it wouldn't be the end of the world! LOL! Oh, and the back window is no problem at all. I have several remedies for that already since I never liked the rear window piece that came in that kit.

I just attempted to share a zip file with some pics from my google drive...you should be getting an email. If that doesn't work I'll just email them directly!
