The side cover isn't ribbon cable from a computer, is it? I have some ribbon cable put aside for a future project

My guesses would be:
1- Grille 2- Bumper 3- Console insert
-Do I win??

much happier with these headers. I also got the beaded lip of the cockpit area done. Still a little fine sanding to be done, but the body is pretty much done.

At first glance, I thought you took the valley cover from the Revell Miss Deal Studebaker 392 Hemi and modified that for the side cover; but you said it was an AMT engine part, right?

Yes, it's a modified air cleaner from the AMT 53 Ford kit. The Hemi option comes with an 8 carb set up and 2 finned air cleaners. after cutting the ends and bottom off I was left with a nice little finned side cover.

Looks like I’ll be making some side covers...

Haha, I was wondering about that '53 air cleaner, also the straight 6 valve covers in the '51 Chevy convertible and '41 Chevy PU...but I was sure the ribs weren't so flat on top. Guess I was wrong! Or you shaved them down a little.
That cockpit is looking awesome!

Nice!! Love those brake rods...that's a detail I've never tackled on any model I've built. Are you going to fill the little gap at the top of the reinforcement plate where the steering shaft exits the cowl?

I dunno! It drew my eye right away. Filled, it might look a little chunky/heavy. Hard to make the call on that one

Fill it...taper it into the body with a gentle "bend in the metal" look.
