Looks good, all buttoned up. I think my favorite feature is the way the 2-tone paint becomes the pancaked hood line. Neat detail, that! Thanks for posting the WIP shots too

Thanks for the comment. After I pancaked the hood and trunk the way I did, it seemed natural to me to follow that line for the two-tone.

This turned out really good! Always nice to see one of these AMT Mercurys built, they make great Customs. I like how the pancaked hood and trunk look on it, and I agree with Chris - the two tone paint job looks excellent like that. Nice work!

Thank you, sir! Your comments are well appreciated! I've been building since about 1963, and this is the first '49 Merc I've ever built! It's a nice kit, and I may do another, down the road, in a stock or hot rod version.
