Really happy you picked this one up again, Gary! It's too good to let go. Love the '56 deSoto grill and the Clipper taillights. Keep it rolling!

I never thought I'd get this far with this one, but here it is ready for final color (definitely NOT pink!). The flatty is done, and so is the chassis. I haven't done the door panels yet, or the area behind the front seat. A fancy set of luggage? A bar!? No serious ideas yet. Hosted on FotkiHosted on Fotki

What about a simple panel to cover that rear area behind the seats? Rolled and pleated maybe? half round plastic maybe? Just a thought.

Craig, I thought of a tarp behind the driver's seat just today. Rolls & pleats would work because the seat I'll be using is an R&P resin piece I think I got from Ed. Gary

Man that looks really good. Without us knowing what you started with and how much work you put in you would think that the body came that way from Fords design studio.

That looks terrific, Gary! Body work looks so smooth! The Clipper taillights are going to work great – will you add a chrome bezel of some sort or just French them in? For what it's worth, I like the coral pink primer! What is that stuff? Reminds me of my favorite '55 Lincoln color.

Well.,.there ya go then. That tarp should work! Make sure you give it some support underneath as the one I made for a 40 Ford coupe "warped" a bit and sags now. Am in the process of trying to straighten it out before finalizing the interior. Just fyi

Ahhh, my friend, you saw what I often see when I look at this one. It does have similar proportions I guess. By the way guys, it is fully painted now. Just needs polishing, foiling etc.. Gary

Classy. It's going to be a knockout once the trim is chrome.
