I was jonesing to use the sweetnew Caddy motor from the revell 49 merc in a rod, so I grabbed a resin body done by my friend Bruce Bientima and fabbed a frame for it. It will sit that height, with chrome reverse or baby moon, or maybe Radirs, have to decide on tires first. this should be a quickie build as it's semi-curbside(no rear suspension).

was that body cast as a channeled piece? Off to a great start I'm not sure where the body came from, my friend Bruce was selling copies at our last meeting. If you look close just ahead of the rear wheelwell there is a scribed line that could indicate a channelled frame on the original body.

I scratchbuilt the frame and leaf spring, attahced to a modified tube axle from amt 25 T. The wheels and tires are from a Road Rats diecast. I will be stealing a few hot rod goodies from a revell parts pack caddy. Seats are from AMT '56 Ford. Just have to finish up the mtor mounts and floor and it'll be ready for paint. Thanks for looking. Thanks to Steve H for the inspiration to try my making own suicide frontend. When he did his on that yellow A sedan i knew I had to try it. may not be as nice as his, but it works.

Nice work, Craig! I think I have that same resin body in my stash - I got it off eBay about two years ago. The resin is pretty thick, isn't it?
