This one I started about4 years ago. I abandonded it after the bodywork went bad under the first coat of paint. At the time I was using the Tamiya putty(not the catalyzed stuff, which I have heard is pretty good). So, recently I started sanding the bodywork and hope to get this one rolling again. Here's the breakdown. the engine is from a Galaxie Ltd 48 Chevy with the intake and sparkplug shrouding from an AMT 53 vette. Frame is from an AMT 25 T. Body is a highly modified new tool AMT AlaKart with the custom lasalle type grille from an AMT 36 Ford grafted on. Wheels and tires are also from the galaxie 48. Current state

That engine is great. I really like the wheel tire combo. I'm on the lookout for that style myself for a current project.

I never really thought of modifying the ALA KART like that. Might re-think that now! Nice work!

Ok guys. I'm just really lost for a color scheme for this one. It was gonna be black with testors copper wheels and engine. I've already painted the copper parts, so I'd really like to stick with that, but I'm bored with the black. Should I stick with it? This is the only thing really holiding this one up.
