In the late 70s I took a break from building car models and tried my hand at watercolour painting. These paintings are based on photos of cars that I found in the Stockholm area. Maybe the Pontiacs are too new for this forum;-) Mikael

Very nice! Art is something I've been persuing myself lately. I've done a little drawing and even less painting though, I've got a long, long way to reach your level.

Not only are these technically great but you really have (had?) the eye for realism and composition. These are super! You should pick it up again with 30+ years of perspective to influence what you want to do... ;D

I took my daughters acrylic paints and tried to do an airbrush painting with them. I cut stencils to get sharp edges between the different areas. Unfortunatly the paint had a tendency to clog the nozzle, but I am satisfied with the result anyway. Next time I will get more suitable paint and use stiffer paper for the stencils. /Mikael

When I first saw the Caddy, I scrolled down to see the painting based off of that pic. I then realized that the pic WAS the painting. Great work, youve sure got talent!z

Very nice artwork! I love the subject matter. I'm a big American car fan. I mean, I like cars that are big. Anyway, I have a soft spot for the '65 Caddy. I had a '65 Eldorado years ago. Of course the '58 is my favorite. I still have my '58 Cad.
