In the past I've spent a fair bit of spare time searching for original concept sketches, proposals and ideas that never were to be... Some of you guys and gals may know of these sites and their galleries already but for those who don't, here they are: www.andrewfjohnsongallery.com/moaaad.org/home.phpThey're a tremendous resource for ideas and to see directions that cars could have gone in instead of what was actually produced. Just search through the Edsel sketches to see what I mean. They really get one thinking down that Custom/Kustom philosophy of improving a car's design rather than change simply for the sake of change... Hope these sites help some of you folks like they've helped me! A sample of pics bellow: And this last one is from the ART ROSS website...

Those are some KOOL KOOL sites! I've always loved the dream (concept) cars, especially those of the fifties! I'm gonna go back and look at them some more. Lots of good ideas for customs and kustoms! Thanks for posting these!

this thing i like! ;D very inspiring! ;D I found it inspiring too... So much so that if I get a '60 Dodge Phoenix model kit one day... I am planning to pattern the front off of that drawing! It really seems like they took the grill work on a '60 dodge and moved it up and combined it with the headlights... Then put a Chrysler/Imperial/Desoto-ish grill bumper combo down bellow!

I really like that green thing. What do you think was the basis for that? The front end looks like it could be early 60's Mopar. The back end looks like total fantasy.

David It's a proposal for an IMPERIAL from 1960 - by CUMMINS If you quote the initial post, the info is in the URLs! Check out the websites... They have the coolest stuff there! What I posted is just a smattering of what you'll find! On the sites, next to each picture, there's a button to click for info that shows the available information the web-master has for that particular image!

Jon, if you use the full reply button method instead of the quick window method then you get the Insert Hyperlink button which enables you to post even URLs with @ in as proper hyperlinks. www.flickr.com/groups/1172355@N23/pool/
