Clever idea. That's the first that I've heard of it. The company logo using the stylized German iron cross may also be useful in establishing it as a hot rod "traditional" emblem in 1959. It was a common decorative element among surfers and bikers by the mid '60s as well as hot rodders.

WWII was still only over a dozen years when I grew up. When I was about 12, I came home from my older cousins house with my boogie board and a Surfers Cross on, my pop wailed me with the boogie board for wearing "that cross" Paul

Not sure what to think of this...another one that brings to mind an old amusement park ride. The F 86 Sabres are cool though.

First things that came to my mind were Basking or Whale sharks. What with that big gaping maw.

That might of been the next Batmobile if George hadn't spotted the Futura first!

Agreed, If George Barris coulda stole the idea, it might just have been the Batmobile! I'm sure that Bat Man would have refused to drive it even with a hefty bonus to his salary,,, something like that could have ruined Adam West's career! LoL!!

It does look sort of bird-like (but not in a good way).

HMMM 3 wheels front drive...Davis or USAF tug for aircraft or munitions, F86 Sabre Vertical tail and section of air intake, F80 air intake shapes for the headlights. The insignia on the customs tail is the 334 Squadron based in, Korea 1953.

Maybe it falls under s”So you wish it hadn’t been done!” LoL! I’m afraid I wouldn’t want it in my garage, I’d never hear the end of it from the homeowners association!!
