HMMM 3 wheels front drive...Davis or USAF tug for aircraft or munitions, F86 Sabre Vertical tail and section of air intake, F80 air intake shapes for the headlights. The insignia on the customs tail is the 334 Squadron based in, Korea 1953. Interesting historical aspect. Thanks!

Having given this car (???Car???) a lot of scrutiny, I feel like I have to, no must, no absolutely have to, build a 1/25 clone of it. So I'll get some modeling clay, roll it into a ball, and call it done. Somewhere inside that ball of clay is an exact replica of that car. Really, trust me! Bidding will start next monday on the bay so alert your bidding proxies or whatever. It should be very active bidding from the get-go so be ready.

Well you have to consider that the the Sabre Jets in the back ground are sitting in an active fighter base near the front lines during the Korean war I don't think that the neighbors would complain about that

My dads in 1963 or 64. 394 Olds 3 speed and dads modified Jag IRS. Adapters on rear mags to use the knock offs. I don't know it's times. Ran 1/8 mile at Islip Speedway. His (later mine) 55 chevy ran 1/4 mile track at the same time. Not that old a car but was a theft recovery that was driven in to the Pine Barrens on L.I. and dumped. When the Revell kit comes out I want to build it. Paul Hosted on Fotki

Wow that story brought back memories. Out there we just called them the woods. I would ride my bike through them on exploration trips looking for dumped cars and I found quite a few, never came up on that Jag though. Great fun for a young car nut. Thanks.

Do you think you will build it as pictured, or maybe a little more finished like your dad possibly dreamed about? either way, what a unique piece of drag racing nostalgia.

Most likely as it was finished with the Earl Scheib $29.95 Taxicab Yellow paint he had done. Although doing the chipped and scratch Aluminum nose and doors is tempting. Paul
