John, that chopped 30 is so farging bad ( excuse my french, but that how I feel ) number one on my cool scale. Its so freakin' slick that I have bought a couple Monogram 30's in the hope I could duplicate it. I had a cal look bug ( no haters! ) with a huge rubber rake. 145-15 on the front, G-78-15 on the back. Tho I must say it was sorta scary haulin down from 70 or 80. The weight transfer plus the skinny front tires was not a good combination.

Holy crap! Talk about traditional. That model A with wires is cool, I love the purple Tee, but that 55 Chevy is freaking bad! Damn, slightly jacked up, mags and slicks, chromies on skinny whites, cant get batter than that!...So how about a road racing Tee Bucket from 1954? Ak Miller!! One of my patron saints! It's the Olds powered "El Caballo de Hierro" (Iron Horse), which ran in one of the road races (Mexican, I think). The co-pilot was Doug Harrison, who is the father of Dan Harrison, a SoCal model car builder.

OK, it's a drag car, but still - a heavily chopped and channelled body on a stepped frame... not just a rat rod thing then. Another severe chop. Tyres above the decklid? Kind of cartoonish in proportions, as seen in some modern attempts at "period" hot rods, but this one works for me.

hard section with air cleaners peaking through the hood The section looks great, but it really throws the upper body out of proportion.

blowers just a 60's thing? crappy paint, oil or grease a rat rod thing? so much to this photo that debunks a lot of current assumption. this pic was taken in 1949! Just wanted to point out in case anyone missed it, that's a flathead Cadillac motor. What a cool car!
