I saw that picture a couple of years ago somewhere in the internet and realized immediately that I have one of those Austin Healey model kits on the stash. Never got started with it (yet), but some day I will. My plan is to build something a bit similar. Really cool picture of even cooler car.

A Healy 3000 digging in hard. Can't see what class this thing was running in but it looks like a handful. That’s Norm Cowdrey’s Healy 100. It ran in AA/MSP (modfied sports) - A class with rules similar to the gassers, but allowing far further engine setback.

Friend of mine sent me a link to an article about Tommy Stringfield's "Triple Trouble" '66 Nova. Never seen that one before, but it sure is an interesting creation. This would be cool to see built in scale, it would be possible to do with some kitbashing and scratchbuilding... Here is a link to the articleThat's wild. I've never seen that one before either. Must have been a handful to hustle down the quarter.

Rear appears to be stock height. Guess they weren't all "tail draggers"

Cool! That's what was known as an "C" rig used in firefighter timed skills competitions on Long Island NY. Here is an C and B rig from the Holbrook FD.
