When I was putting my truck (Ol Foge) together, I was on the lookout for a good 302. Got word that Ranger Bob was fixing to pull one out of a Comet. Ranger Bob had a rep for hopping up Ford Rangers. I contacted him. He wasn't ready to pull the engine, but was somewhat open to the idea of me getting it. In hopes of getting a better price, I buttered him up with a custom cartoon. He really liked it,and kept it, but wanted to know if I could do one in a wheelie, showing the front undercarriage. I went home and did this one. Went to see him a couple of times but he wasn't home. Next thing I heard that he died of a heart attack, and that his wife had sold off the comet. I still have this drawing.
