Nitro Neil's recent post regarding the long wheelbase Don Long chassis that keeps popping up in one form or another as Round 2 re-issues various front engined dragster kits got me looking for a search tool to determine the date that some of these dragsters ran. Specifically, Neil had researched some decal sets that could be used on these kits. Draglist.com has a fantastic search engine that makes finding these dates relatively easy. Here's a link: www.draglist.com/draglist/search.php . As you will see, it allows you to enter almost anything from country of origin to drivers, sponsors car name and what type or category it ran in. Check it out! As an FYI here are the dates according to Draglist on the decals Neil listed: Young American - kit decals 1971Don Garlits Swamp Rat 12C - Slixx 1969The Jade Grenade - Slixx 1969Beebe and Mulligan - Slixx 1967Howard Cam Rattler - Slixx 1969Steve Carbone T/F - Chuck Boerner 1971Snake's Wynns Winder - Chuck Boerner 1970NEW ADDITION - Ray Goodman's Tennesee Bo-Weevil - Chuck Boerner 1967As you can see, some of these cars ran as early as '67. Don Long in particular made a nice living in the late 60's and early 70's stretching his older chassis to the newly fashionable extra-long wheelbases so there my be some confusion over this, but Draglist does a pretty good job in breaking out the various years and variants that were run.

So I guess that the rule would be to keep the graphics pre-69, as this type of dragster really didn't change much up to the point that the rear-engined cars became dominant.
