I think I'll start on something special for the new year ,, I've been thinking about this project almost since I got this car 3 or 4 years ago. Plans are full custom everything. chopped top, custom front and rear ends, custom upholstery, injected 392 hemi, fade paintjob , , , the works. I'll start cut'n on New Years Day. I already have the old paint stripped and the bumpers shaved, smoothed and replated ready to go.

This should be interesting to follow!!! I've always loved the insane styling of the early-sixties' Mopars

Interesting! This will be fun to watch, as your builds always are. This is a beautiful car and I bet it will look great once it's done. I'll be watching.

Going to be a good one Steve, you don't see these as customs often. Looking forward to it. I always liked the "Astro-Dome" speedometer/gauge cluster on these cars.

Way cool...I've got one of these that I've been pondering for a year or two as well. I'll be watching your build for inspiration.

So, I have 2 kits so I won't feel guilty about cutting one op, even though it's not really an overly scarce kit. The orangish color one is the one that's going under the knife. I'm gonna strip and polish out the glue marks in the windshield ,, don't know why I didn't do it before I tinted it the first time. Here you can see what I did with the bumpers. Guards removed from the rear and the grille surround cut off the front one. The mold seams were also removed. Original set is in back and the modified ones are in front. The modded ones were replated by the Little Motorcar Company in the last batch I had

Nice work there on the chrome parts. Just can't have too much raw material when putting together a build. Aren't they 62's though?

Good start, Steve! Yep, as Ron pointed out, they're '62s.
