Finished up the firewall. Kit part with the molded wireing smoothed off, painted to match the rest and "chromed" the master cylinder and heater box with a molotow pen. And have the interior about 1/2 done. The pleated inserts will stay pearl white and the rest will be blue. This is my first time trying to do pipeing on the seats.

Finally got the seats smooth enough to paint. Here you can see how much depth I added to the floor. Not %100 happy with the shade of blue but it should look OK with the rest of the detailing done and installed in the body. The silver on the door panels and console is supposed to represent brushed aluminum. You can just barely make out the PE power window switches on the arm rest areas.

Looks nice Steve! One would have to know exactly what you started with to truly appreciate the amount of work you've put into that interior.

Here's a couple shots of the finished interior. I was going to mount the mirror on top of the dash but it would interfere with the windshield. I put a touch of clear blue on the switches and shift lever to simulate clear plastic pieces. Looking at the pics now makes me want to go back and tweek the fit of the pleated panels in the doors.

That interior turned out fantastic! The added depth in there really makes a big difference. And overall this whole build is just excellent. That fade paint job will look amazing when this is finished. Really nice work, keep it up.

The engine's almost done. Still needs a bit of cleanup and a bracket for that alternator.

Agreed! A car that big needs a whole lotta engine and the long-ram system certainly fills the engine bay nicely.

Well,, she's on hold again. Not because of flooding this time at least.
While gluing a couple mounting tabs to the back bumper, I smeared lacquer thinner on it. So, stripped and back off to Dale to be replated ,, again.
Including the initial replating after the seam and guard removal this will be the third time I've had to have this bumper redone.
The car's almost done and I'll finish it up while the bumper's out.
Just need to permanently attach the chassis plate to the body and finish up under the hood.
I checked and I will still be able to attach the bumper after everything else is done so no worries.

Still plugg'n away at it while the bumper's out. When I went to drill holes for the hoses in the front of the engine I found that there's no place to put them. So, I sanded the front of the engine flat and added the front of an MPC 440. Not the cleanest work I've done but it's gett'n done.
