Along with the plastic I have got alot of diecast mainly Danbury mint and others in various scales and is it ok to post pictures of them if they are in the era.

That's an important and very basic question regarding TRaK. In the case of diecast, the dominant part of the diecast culture is among those who are collectors rather than builders. We post pictures and magazine articles from the TRaK era and we post TRaK compatible photos of 1:1's, even if they were built in the modern era. So why not discuss and post pictures of diecast models in the same vein? I think we already settled the issue of the materials of the models that we make and present here, and decided that they needn't be just styrene or resin. The work of the highest order that Cliff Read (traditional) has shared with us demonstrates that diecast models are as valid a medium as any to make TRaKable models. So we must ask ourselves what is to be gained by ignoring or banning the sharing of models that we didn't build but that would be of interest to the membership, regardless of the material. The obvious place to share this sort of thing would be under "1:1 Car Photos, Reference and Inspiration".

I did some modifications to a Danbury mint 40 Ford coupe,I never liked what they had done to the body of the hotrod version so I took the chassis from it and put it under a stock 40 for a mild hotrod look from the mid 60s so I was wondering if it would be ok to post pics of it.

Why ask permission?? It's easier to ask forgiveness! Sounds like it fits! SHOW IT!

That is the only one I have modified since the Danburys are kind of expensive,I got one off ebay cheap but got shipped two from the seller so I modified the one.

I'm of the opinion that the forum should be about building models, but if you're modifying a diecast, there is no question that you're a builder.

I might try tinkering with more diecast but they will be the ones from the department stores,at over 100 dollars each new modifying the Danbury's will get too expensive and now that they do not make them some on ebay think they are worth a fortune. I do not think I paid 30 dollars for the red 40 coupe and about the same or less for the hotrod version so that was not too bad and can get that wrapped up in plastic too.
