Seat is a Replicas and Miniatures resin. I had an Australian Forum member looking into sending me a vacuum form tonneau cover he had made for the 29, but po$tage from the outback is insane. So we discussed a method my brother used on his vintage lakester here.....which should work.

I made a tissue-paper/glue tonneau for my own '29 build a couple years ago; the technique worked fairly well.

Been away for awhile, dealing with a health issue and my mother's passing. Looking over my previous builds with the idea to get them done, starting with this one.

Looks like the hard bit is done and its just ready for fine details. Sorry for your loss as well! Glad you are back to a better place to be able to build again.

Bumping this back to the top. Brother Jim brought this to sufficient completion in late October 2023 in time to show it off at the TAMS ( Tidewater Automotive Modelers Assoc ) 31st Annual show and swap meet in Virginia Beach. Unfortunately our younger brother passed away at that time due to poor health...and Jim himself has been in and out of ER's and the hospital due to blood chemistry issues...but is hopefully on the mend and will be back in action soon.

After getting ignored at the last competition, I took this '29 roadster to the IPMS 2024 Old Dominion competition in February, and got second place. Automotive: Straight Line Very happy with that...competition was fierce.
