I love the color; and for some strange reason...especially like the interior on this one! I know it's stock (the interior); but it was painted so well!

When would you date the paint job to?

Wow - that color definitely is excellent and it seems to be a perfect match for an Edsel body. Actually I've had a spray can that is pretty close to this shade of metallic red. I bought it on a local hardware store and I've painted a couple of bodies with that shade. Can't wait to see how this looks when it's done. I might take some notes as I have one '58 and one '59 Edsel that are waiting to be built...Some day.

When would you date the paint job to? 1960s, I think, Dennis. I don't think it's AMT lacquer but an extremely well-aged enamel.

Glad I did.

Didn't have enough matte finish foil so used the regular stuff. I still like it!

Sharp! What a great survivor and good job bringing it back. Are those '57 Olds wheel covers on it?

I think you deserve some kind of prize for successfully foiling a model with like, zero defined edges. Did you use tape as an edge to help guide the knife? It looks great!

Surprisingly, it wasn't all that bad. The only place I had to use tape was around the cove on the quarter panels, that way I could do the whole molding in one piece of foil.

Wow John, This really looks super. Gary Thanks, Gary! It seems like fun to slap together a model without sweating the small stuff like missing panel lines, accurate window opening shapes, etc.!
