Sweet! I really like the shape of the body and the proportions. Slingster wheels look just right on it!

This will be a cool project! Like I said earlier, this kit just went into my "Must Have-list". That being said, I'll be following this thread with a great interest. I agree that the Slingster wheels and tires fit perfectly to this old Dragster, can't wait to see more pics.

Ditto! I was surprised to see how big the Slingster wheels and tires look...while the rear tires seemed under-sized for the Slingster, they're perfect here! Good luck wrangling that old brittle plastic into shape!

Looking good, Ron. I’m not familiar with that one or I just don’t remember it but I’ll bet it’s older than you are!

Dang, someone else got theirs to the bench before me. This is such a fun kit. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
Replacing the wagon wheels for fronts is the necessary first step for turning these from a toy into a model, and you've got that covered. Now run with it.

Not bad at all, seems to clean up well. This is yet another one of them in my needlist.. I'd use amt's pipes.

Great work. It is very rewarding when you can bring one of these survivors back.

Didn't get a lot done this evening. Was going to prime the body, but I guess it just wasn't my night. The only can of primer I had wouldn't spray, so I have to pick up another one tomorrow. But I did make progress on the firewall, it's all sanded to shape and once the it's painted it will look good as new. Thanks for all the comments guys, I have to agree the long headers will look the best. But my goal here is to keep this quick and simple, and not get carried away with lots of added details.

I've been slowly making some progress this week. Here is where I'm at right now. Probably won't get much done on it this weekend. It's supposed to be nice here and I really need to get out in the shop and do some welding on another project.

It makes me smile to see a ratty old build of a 49¢ kit get some love! Great work!
