It really is the little details like this that add up to make a noticeably better model. Especially considering that the rear wheels have open windows. I also like the separate inner rim and "brake drum" instead of a one piece wheel back.
It seemed like a waste of effort to open the slots and leave the wheel backs solid. To open the slots I sanded down the back of the wheels until just a very thin layer of plastic remained then cleaned out the slot with a #11 blade. As you said Dennis if you make improvements along the way it elevates the overall build detail.
Back half of the racing interior is complete. The tub I started with is shown on the right.
Looking very good! Nice and precise fabrication work in all areas, as always. That's one of the reasons I like following your projects, so I'm happy to see more Falcons added to your stash. These are cool cars.
