Ok, I know this maby is on the edge when it comes to traditional custom, but I will do my best to stay inside TRAK rules with it. Hope it is ok even if I am using that viper roof. Started with a shelby body
Stole the roof from a NOT TRAK car ( sorry for cursing..Dodge Viper) and attached it to the shelby body. I think the roof realy fit the shelby body and it gives the car a completely different look. A few moments after it looked like this.
My plan is to build it in a 60’s style.

Not realy 100% sure what belongs to different time eras but if i want to have it 60’ style i guess a thinner white wall tire and a five spoke wheel (like cragars or radir) would get it. Since it is a ”mid 60’s car” i guess I should build it as a car in that era, but in my opinion late 50’s -early 60’s looks the best.

No offense, but I don't see how this is trakable both contextually & in general.
1-A Cobra isn't a likely candidate for customization, back then or now. I know, "they're models, we can do what we want". To me though, part of the spirit of the rules here are to do things that would have been done back in the day, no matter the era one is trying to replicate.
2-In that context, if a Cobra were actually customized back in the 60s, (& some were by various designers), it would never have been backdated to such an obviously earlier style like this. It would have been modified in a contemporary style for it's era, the Mercer Copper Cobra excepted & since that was a Virgil Exner design, the results speak for themselves.
3-Finally, a Dodge Viper GTS roof simply isn't trakable. Never has been, never will be. If it's going to be considered trakable, the accepted timeline limits for both cars & parts are clearly stated in the rules. 1965 for cars, 1969 for parts.
This is a mishmash of eras that simply doesn't fit here.

I'm with Mark on this one.
Could a Cobra (or the AC Ace it's based on) be customized? Yes. Foreign cars were customized back then. Dean Jeffries quad headlight Porsche and the Von Dutch mercedes gullwing spring to mind.
However, Mark's second point is right on the mark (pun unintended). It would not have been backdated style-wise to wide whites.
I applaud your inventiveness Marcus, but I'm not sure this one fits here, at least in the direction you've stated you're going to follow. However, I've been over-ruled by others mods a couple times in the last 6-8 months, so I'm not touching this one. Just expressing my opinion.

I totaly understand if it doesn't fit here. I know this realy is on the edge of beeing TRAK, especially with wide white wall tires and the Viper roof. If it doesn't fit here, I apologize and feel free to delete or lock the thread. If I can continue my build here I promise to show you all an AC cobra as you have never seen it before. I have already been "on the edge" with two bulds here. My renault 4cv and my wild custom on a VW karman ghia and they where ok to show here. The viper roof is a thing i try to backdate as much as I can. I thougth about using a 60's ferrari roof at first. it was easier for me to find and build the roof from a Viper and backdate it, so it will look like a 60's style roof. I have been looking at the 1962 ferrari 250 and my build is inspired by that type of car. rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo19/monterey/lots/r0045-1962-ferrari-250-gt-swb-berlinetta-by-scaglietti/778072I'm not realy sure if i will stay on the whide walls or if i will try to build it "period perfect" as a mid/late 60's style custom. I need some tips on what details I need to use to make it like a mid/late 60's style. What type of wheels, interior, paint etc. As I said before.. My thing is to build 50's style of custom. Some pics, or tips on links/google search would help me a lot.

Sooooo.....don't tell us what the roof is from...as it COULD have been a sheet of metal formed into a roof... and the bulges in the roof are for headroom because it is so low~! hehe....and..just put black wall tires on it! Pretty simple in MY book! hmmm....how bout a Jag XKE roof???

Thanks for those pics! Hahahah, well.. sorry for telling you where the roof came from here on trak. I guess we all can close our eyes and pretend that it is a piece of plastic/ "sheet of metal" shaped in to that roof. If we say that it is a customized "what ever car" instead of a cobra, to give me more open ideas when it comes to design and eras of build? Is it something like that you mean Chris? If I name the car "the questionmark" I think this will look like a bunch of different cars that got the body type as a cobra. With white walls it can be a car like in the first picture for example.
