I don't know about that. none of my resource photos show anything blended in to the body. It's more of a reenforcing plate that the steering rod passes through. Granted my body is a little shorter than my reference pics which places the steering box into the curve of the body.

I say don't blend. And then your photos back it up. Once it's painted a different color than the body it will make more sense. Right now it's just white on white

small update: I made a generator, pulleys and oil filler tube for the 4 banger. I also purchased a pre wired distributor and some metalizer paints for this build. Stay tuned.

Looking good! The extra detail is going to pay off in the end.

Fantastic fabrication on this very cool project! The body and steering parts turned out beautifully, and the engine is very nicely done as well. Can't wait to see how this looks when it's done.

I'm getting very close to getting some paint on this one. One final detail on the frame was to add spring mounting brackets to the rear cross member.

Here's a rough mock up with paint. Still lots of little things to do, but it's getting there. I hope to be finished before leaving for TROG in a couple weeks.

Wow, that's looking great. I almost can't believe how much of that is scratchbuilt.

Sweet! I almost feel like some light weathering could help pick out the details and show off all that scratchbuilding.

I must say Trog isn't my thing, but the amount of scratch building and detailing is awesome on this build. May change my view of these racers. Looks really great.
