I wish I could build even half as fast as you do! LOL! I can't wait to see it all mocked up in primer awaiting paint! Do you have a color picked out yet? Even though I am not a huge Y-block fan; I do generally like all of the 'OHV' engines from the '60's! I think it would be cool to have a collection of each of them with the latest hop up parts at the time for each of them! LOL!

UPDATE!At the urging of multiple people across multiple platforms of social media I went ahead and deepened the rear wheels. As it turns out, the chromed inner rear wheel rings from Revell's Beatnik Bandit show rod were a perfect fit right into the Radir wheels I'm using. All I had to do was trim out the step inside the tire so the wheel could push in further. I'm glad for all the feedback, it was definitely the right thing to do!

Yesssss I knew you could do it, haha!! That looks so much better, and it was easy too. Beatnik Bandit rings. Perfect. I bet Tweedy Pie rings would have worked too.

That makes a world of difference Dennis. I love the Radir wheels, I've got them on several of my finished builds. Are you going to keep the chrome, or do something to the centers? They look good both ways in 1:1.

They look good both ways in 1:1. I am not sure about leaving them chrome or doing some kind of paint detail. I don’t think I’d want them completely stripped so if I do end up doing paint it will be the centers only. I do like them chrome, though, and especially after making the rears properly deep. Hmm......

I like the Radirs in chrome, personally. Seems like a crime to paint 'em!

I like the radirs and Y-block + setup. As the rear fender trick.

I like the Radirs in chrome, personally. Seems like a crime to paint 'em! I'm with Chris on his last two posts! LOL! I didn't say anything to you earlier about the rear wheels sucking ass right out of the box because I didn't want to piss on your parade.......after telling you what I thought of your first choice of wheels and tires! LOL! You finally came around to realizing the need to alter the rear wheels; and it worked out perfect! I love them chrome........and feel you'd be taking away from the wheels and overall build by painting the centers. But, that's none of my business as a green frog always says!

I think this might be the first (oops, nope).......one I've seen painted. It is the first one painted and mocked up! LOL! A customer posted a painted body (nothing else) on my FB page the other day in a dark metallic blue.....really looked great in that color too! I can't wait to see yours all finished up now that I see it in color! The new body mold should be put on-line here in the near future......waiting for the rubber to cure; and then I can cast a test shot to make sure everything is working properly. It takes a bit longer in this stink'n cold weather........might even be in the single digits tonight.
