Hello everybody! It's been ages since i have posted anything on this forum. But i have been lurking in the shadows, watching. But now i think it's about time that i also contribute to this place and show what i have on my workingbench. Here goes....
I started with this kit. Its the first edition of the Ford 1950 convertible. And i will try to use as much of the parts that ended up missing in all the releases after this one. (The body that i will use are from a 70's release cause i will use the original body on another build)
This is a test to see if i can get the pictures to show on this forum...

Also i created a driprail to the roof and rear window chrome. The trunk i cut out so that it will be easier to put bondo to the rearend treatment without loosing the contours of the rear decklid. Latwr on i will glue the decklig back in place. Or maybe i will keep it open.. Havent decided yet.

Hello Jimmi. Welcome back! Thank you for stepping up and contributing. I hope a lot of the other lurkers do the same.
I like what you're doing so far. I have a very similar project that I've been messing with at Build and Bulls over the last couple years. I'll be following along

Looks awesome so far! I'm impressed with how well those wheel arches have been blended in. They give the body some much-needed curvature to balance out the visually heavy taillight pods and fins. I've seen a few of these built with all the early-edition custom parts, but this one's possibly my favorite so far.

welcome back Jimpa ! i like the front-end work; your Box doesn't look front-end heavy, the top looks as if it's been lengthened a bit, very nicely done !

Thank you guys! I quick mockup with the body wetsanded and redone interior bucket. I cut the floor and backseat out and replaced it with the floor from a 57 amt ford. Just because so i can have 4 separate bucketseats in the car. Also i sectioned the whole tub so the chassi can fit higher in the body. To do that i also had to section the engine bay.

This is cool and inspiring! Shorter front end is absolutley nessesary.. and I like the sectioning, driprail, changed wheelarc's as 4x buckets.

Wow, that looks very good already! These Shoebox Fords make great looking Sleds and your version is definitely one of the cooler ones that I've seen in a while. Especially that Victoria roof fit perfectly to the body lines. Excellent work so far.
