I have been dragging my butt on starting this thread. Mostly because I was not quite sure of the parts, and goodies I wanted to use! I have smoothed out the mold lines on the body to get it ready for primer coat. It has the crappy firewall already glued on. I want to use one of Ed's resin beauties on this build. So I have to figure that out!? I squirted some primer on the body just to see how it looks.

Looking good David.
Looks like someone cut the bottom legs off the firewall as well, possibly planning to channel the body over the frame?

Thanks Craig! I did chop the legs, before I decided that I wanted to use a stock firewall from Ed on this build!

OK, so I chopped down the back part of the interior to match the amount that I'm channeling the body over the frame. And it worked out pretty good!

And now I have a color to use, and I'm happy with the way it looks. I will be more happy when it is sprayed on the body! What do you think people? And what frame color to go with it is the next thing!?! David S.

Much like the inspiration car posted above, the frame would look good color matched. Otherwise, if you're after some contrast here, white would look good too.

I knew I wanted that firewall off of this car. But when I tried to remove it, I found it to be much too well glued on! (That's on me!!) So instead, I just sanded it down real close for gluing over it! Now this looks soooo much better to me!?! It sticks out just slightly, but I have a plan for that anywho!

That firewall is a big improvement compared to what comes with the kit. I have a couple of those firewalls too for future projects. Interesting project you have going on! I will be watching your progress for sure. That blue will look very good on this Deuce.

Thanks Ed, Ray, and Niko!! Encouragement always helps me for sure! This is the first REAL build project I have started (and plan to finish) since my last spinal surgery in March `16!! So there is things that get in my way, but I enjoy it enough to make it worth the headaches! (And neckaches LOL!!)
