Beautiful custom. Getting everything to fit this well must have taken some doing. The photo etch Auburn grill and the headlights really make the model. Big thumbz upz!!

That is absolutely stunning! That Color just is perfect for a Custom '36 Coupe too. Sits just right for a 40's Tail Draggin' Kustom, (Oh should be Custom, Kustom is 60's not 40's). I can imagine that the interior is just as tastefully done as the exterior, because this one is just out of the park! That's the only hard part about building for a friend (worse yet a customer), is having to "give up" one when it turns out really well! Just love everything you've got going on this model I'm sure your Buddy will be impressed! I always wanted to see if the windshield could be opened up and tilted out like a real '36 Ford, which would be my only suggestion for the next one, but you got this so smooth that it looks the part!
I have that kit and a La Salle grill shell for it, I was thinking of the ribbed bumpers from one of the later versions of the '40 sedan delivery (I think that's where they were from, eBay find). I've also fitted up the headlights from the Monogram '39 Chevy, they look pretty good, not as good as the ones you went with though. I was thinking of molding in the running lights from the '53 F100 to get an elongated "Guide" light look. But that's on the back burner, I have a slew of other peoples non-TRAKable commission build kits to build before Christmas, may be spring before the bench is mine again!
Anyone who has ever built any version of that AMT '36 Ford knows how it just falls together,,, Not! Yeah it's from the Trophy Series. One that if it came together at all the builder should have got a Trophy! OH wait, there's a Trophy in the box!!

Pictures do not do this build justice. I've seen it in person, and it is just excellent.

Saw this on FB yesterday during one of my infrequent visits there, and thought "I wish this was on TRAK". Now it is. Thanks for posting! This '36 is beautifully done in so many ways...it's pretty much exactly what I want to build out of the single '36 kit in my stash, but I don't have the LaSalle grille so I was going to cobble together something else. I have a set of ribbed bumpers for it, too. I think my favorite feature on this model is the integration of '41 Chev headlights and indicators...they have excellent art-deco flow and styling. Perfect choice! Of course, I can't ignore all the work that was done to attach the roof and clean up the beltline moldings, and Ed's cool louvered hood sides. Excellent work

Wow - That looks excellent! One of the cleanest and most stylish versions that I've seen built from this kit. The overall look is just right in every way. The color, LaSalle grill, headlights and all other body mods really make this one stand out. And of course everything is executed so well. If we had a Model of the Month going on, this would be a really tough contender.
I have a question on the tail lights... Are those tail lights originally integrated to the Revell '48 bumpers or did you modify them? They create a good looking, really smooth rear end styling and would need a similar setup for one of my projects too...

Those tailpipes gotta be worn flat on the bottom from scraping the pavement. But seriously, ZOWIE!!!! Gary

Those tailpipes gotta be worn flat on the bottom from scraping the pavement. I know! I already had the stance all set before I added the pipes. If I'd had time, I was going to add casters to the rear bumper.

Of course, I can't ignore all the work that was done to attach the roof and clean up the beltline moldings, and Ed's cool louvered hood sides. Excellent work Like I said in my earlier post, that’s what the 🏆 Trophy 🏆 is in the kit for, if you can make it fit you deserve a “big ol” Show Car Trophy too! That “small” detail wasn’t lost on me , I’m nowhere near that obtuse!! 😂
