I have been occupied elswere for a while.. nah.. same table, different stuff. Whife asked me to make her a model?! Well some buddies have been "honored" with builds from my bench, ..so thats just fair! But.. sha really dont like cars, at all. Last couple of months I have been creating a traditional (not trakable in any way) coffe-shop in aprox 1/20. I'm done and she's happy. It was fun I have to admire. Now, I'm back on track (lol) with an A. Here's some gathering and a possible parts. As Ed's latest '32:s, arrived this week. I'm of duty 2 weeks for holidays! Fun fun fun!! ..sorry bout blurry pic. #(

U know this game.. after some years parts that where obvius when choosen is not what turns the ignition when reopening a cold case.. so here is a mockup from today. The new Wheels is P-129 from R&M tires from Revell 37 Pu/delivery and old Monogram Indy at rear, lathe out rim and ad styrene strip.

The start is looking very good already. We can never see too many Model A Coupes. The stance with those wheels and tires is looking excellent, I'm sure this will turn out really nice as always from your bench.

Sweet. I'm always happy to see more model A's getting built, and that wheel/tire package in intriguing. The 1/24 body definitely likes to have large-diameter tires out back for a balanced look. Those Indy tires are pushing it! Very dramatic. Can't wait to see more

My engineringmind did not coop with the angle from tranny to diff if I have proceed with my intention of rearaxle hight.. and that may cut the line to stay Trakable I hope. ..HAMB is kind of stretch my mind sometimes.

Do you mean the driveshaft needed to cut through the floor? That's pretty common for a deeply dropped/channeled car with a low stance in the back. Having tires taller than the trunk lid is kind of a modern r@t rod thing, but I've also seen vintage photos of real cars from the '60s with a stance that low.

Yes.. and that would place engine high to. As U say, thats more of a ratty style. I have also seen a couple old ones. As this one is unchopped to keep some comfort after channeling I just go for a racing apperence in style. 12 bolt GM, Hemi + hedders, 6 carbs and Halibrands. =)

How did you add the tread to the "Indy" tires?? Good question! I use some selfadhesive stuff from the "scrapbooking shelf". I don't know of any american manufacturer but there would be I Think? Mine is from a local import store and where made in The Netherlands. Here is the adress if it helps… www.starform.nl/starform_pro/producten.asp?lang=ENI have used them in various ways. Most as base for interrior stuctures.

Oh cool!! Those adhesive shapes would be fantastic for adding panel detail to kitbashed and scratchbuilt robot designs too.
