I'm new to your build and am loving it. Two questions. Is it possible to show some photos of the finished interior? Can only get a glimpse with it in place and it looks spectacular. What are the round domes near the fins back-up lights? How are you going to treat them?

What are the round domes near the fins back-up lights? How are you going to treat them? Thanks! Yep, those're back-up lights. I'll foil them then brush on some Tamiya Pearl White. And, now, with the model blown apart for the final run to the finish line, I can post some shots of the interior...

Wow, gorgeous! That interior is looking mighty sharp. Can't wait to see it all in paint! I dig the bullets in the taillights, too.

Sheeoot, that interior is the tits! (Sorry for stealing the above, but that's what came to me when I saw the pictures of that beautiful interior.) I can't for the life of me recall who PMC is/was. Gary

Gary Thanks! PMC was Product Miniatures Corporation. They made a bunch of promos in various scales in the '50s, including '59 Rancheros and station wagons.

Your interior is fantastic! The 'chrome" on the seats and dash details look good. Paul

I love everything about this build, but in particular the profile shots tripped my trigger.

“Styletone” was Ford's designation for the color scheme with a contrasting color on the roof and lower body. I've always liked that scheme, particularly in combination with white (Tamiya Racing White, in this case.) For my mild custom Ranchero it's combined with Tamiya Candy Lime Green over Tamiya Silver Leaf. I have yet to shoot the clear coat. Let me know what you think. Incidentally, the scheme with a contrasting color on the roof only was called “Tutone.”

That combination you did is perfect for the Ranchero, better looking than the Tamiya White Pearl and Tamiya Pearl Yellow I'm doing and my SMP 59 Ford ragtop! Paul

Looking really good so far! That two tone paint job works perfectly on this Ranchero and the interior looks very beautiful as well. This is going to be another stunning model from your workbench when it's done.
