The front fender tips/grille shell and the hood are in the works, slowly but steadily evolving. No Predicta comments are allowed here! All other comments are most welcomed though. When I saw the first mock-up, I didn't see any way to integrate the front end onto the T-Bird. Not surprisingly, I was wrong. Excellent work.

Wow Gary, all it needs are wings and a jet engine! The contours that you've sculpted are breathtaking...and of course all of the little details that you work in - the vent behind the bubble, the opened scoop, the exhaust outlet opening...this is just plain sweet !!

The really great proportions and the extra details like the cowl and rear deck vents and the rectangular exhaust ports, makes this as much a futurist styling exercize as a pure custom. Truly tasteful...

I love the way the nose/grille opening is resolved. You've blended those surfaces beautifully! The tailfins are killer too. Much better looking than...that other car that shall not be named Any thoughts on wheels?

That's coming along just fine. Will it have flush-mounted rear fender skirts?

I'm just drawing a blank re the rear skirts. If they were something in the kit I would probably use them. Actually, if I had a scrap body I could cut them out of that! Wheels and tires, got any ideas?

I was anti-skirt, but now that I see them, I like them! Wheels...I can see a few styles working: 1. Smooth covers, like Studebaker maybe? 2. Deep chrome reverse with a knockoff, like the wheels in the Tweedy Pie kit. Of course, this will make it look like....that other car 3. Turbine-style for that "rocket-ship" look. '57 or '62 Cadillac maybe? 4. Sombrero caps with a tall chrome bullet in the center 5. Salt-flats style reversed Halibrand in matte finish with polished ribs? Could the wheels from the Orange Crate be reversed? If I recall correctly they have ribs on the backside.
