Don't chop it.. I think that will ruin the balance. Are U going to french headlights like rearlights, -if so, thats a bright idéa! I appreciate a different touch on these rather common Pu's. I'll stop by and check this build!

X3 on don't chop it! Or, at the very most, maybe 1mm, (equals 1 scale inch), to balance out the proportions if needed, as it might look a bit top heavy as you go along. No more than a millimeter though.
I like everything about this so far, but I'm also envisioning it with the optional Chevy fenders in the kit. also sectioned a bit.

Thanks guys! im not planning on chopping it. i kind of like that awkward look of top heavy, which is more of an east coast look i guess. i originally had the chevy fenders on it and i wasnt thrilled about them. i do plan on sanding the deadlight bezels down flat on the backside to recess them in a bit and i think im going to make my own headlight lenses that fit the whole bezel instead of the 4 separate lamps. thatll go better with the taillights anyway which are going to be a full lens to fit the buckets.

I'm really digging this thing. I like the roof stock height, but could also see a 1-2mm chop working really well too. Any experience with resin? As you know, this kit doesn't have any interior panels. It would look pretty slick with the tuck and roll interior from Drag City Casting. The owner, Ed Fluck, is a member here, and one of the best casters in the business. Here are some pics...

I’d hate to buy it just to cut it up...

Wild! I love it so far. I wouldn't mind seeing the roof chopped a little, but it's tricky--too much, and the whole truck might look a little "pancaked". The bobbed '34 with Desoto power is incredibly cool too. Love to see some more of that one as it progresses!
