It's not going to the scrap heap yet James. I got the side glass openings fixed. Made a huge difference! I am going to cut a slot in the hood sides below the chrome spear. I'm hoping my primer will come today so I can get it in final primer.

It looks better, I'm not sure if it ties it in as much as balances it, but it works!

Oh yeah, the side window shape looks so good! That’s one of those things I couldn’t exactly see what was wrong until I saw it made right. Perfect.

Call me crazy...but I can't see what you did to the window frames. Care to elaborate?
The truck is looking good! I see what you mean about the paint; that's a color so subtle that the tint imparted both by lighting conditions and all of our respective computer monitors is going to give a different impression of the color every time!

I can't see what you did to the window frames. I couldn't either for a couple of minutes, then I saw it. Look at the margin between the bottom of the window and the character line below it. Subtle, but highly effective!

Lol, I was comparing two instances of the "after" photo. Now I see it!! Yeah, that made a huge difference.

It's a simple modification. But, it helps so many things. To me, the larger side glass opening made the body look slightly sectioned. Adding the 2mms got rid of the sectioned look, improved the profile of the side glass and put the bottom of it on the same plane as the windshield.

Raising the bottom of the window opening made a HUGE difference. Nicely done.
Just my 2 cent's, but I think the trim on the hood could extend rearward a little more. But just by simply adding it at all broke up the slab sides of the body overall

I almost think it would help to extend it forward just past the emblem a touch and use a smaller diameter rod. Definitely something to think on. My primer still hasn't shown up. So, it's not like the modification would hold me up any.

I almost didn't say anything first because it appeared as though you were getting ready to start spraying color.

I'm always open to ideas Craig. I may use them, I may not. I'm mulling the trim idea over. The .020 rod I have looks a little small. The .047 I have looks a little big. I need something in the middle. But, don't have any on hand and don't want to buy a whole package for one project.

Finally got some paint on the body! I'm pretty happy with the color. I had to change backgrounds to get the color to show how it really looks. I've decided to shoot a coat of pearl over it before clear. With all of the round corners and curves, it'll have a nice effect. While I was waiting for primer, I got all of the other parts prepped. Almost all of them are now in paint also. So, hopefully this one will be done soon.

Your truck is very stock looking, and that's a good thing isn't it. Your work is so clean that it's hard to tell that it didn't come this way from Dearborn. Excellent job. Gary
