Testors '48 Ford Coupe... Cut the floor out from the firewall to the back seat. Chopped top and popped trunk. Added an AMT Forty Ford split window. Trimmed the step rail for a chrome strip. Made some skirts but dunno if I'll use them. Half moon styrene strips added to the fender seams...curved side to the body.

Wow, really nice work on that chop! The roofline looks just perfect. This is going to be another excellent model from your workbench.

Looking good! I've never built a Testors '48, but they look fiddly. I quite like the '40 window, cool chop and trunk hinges too.

That's one saw-mooth looking Kustom there, I dig the mockup.

Tester’s ‘48 Ford was originally manufactured by IMC. I think I still have the convertible windshield frame in my parts stash from the testers version.

Nice work James! That's one way to take advantage of that multi piece body.

Removing the floor makes adding a higher drive shaft tunnel easier. I've stepped the rear suspension and plan on dropping the front I-beam. Adding the painted interior will be easier too.

James, if you would want to trade bumpers, let me know. I'd prefer the smooth bumpers this kit has for my F-1 project.
