WoW, that's a "Nice Bod" looks like you've done a ton of work! I've never seen the R & M Merc' at least in unassembled bare resin, like all of Norm's resin pieces that's a really nice start to any project. Are there any plans to "stabilize" the body any further, I mean we all hear from the "Experts" that resin continues to move around, especially with major modifications. Hopefully that's an "old wive's tale", but if you did the work on cutting those doors a while ago that would sort of prove that wrong to some extent.
I love those Neodyme magnets, I've used them on several Roth Monster and Weird-Oh's projects to hold the figure in place. My only comment on using them is that they tend to repel primer and topcoat, it leaves a telltale ring the exact shape of the magnet maybe slightly larger. I've experienced this with every color and brand (rattle can) primer that I've ever used as well as topcoats (enamels and lacquer decanted rattle can and mixed). Sprayed Acrylics don't seem to have this issue, or at least I've never noticed any issue when airbrushing acrylics over the area of the magnet. Hopefully some one will have a cure for this, as I'm sure interested in hearing or trying it on my next "magnet project" as it sure would eliminate extra work to try to fix it. I've always used a little glazing putty over the primed area to build the primer back up, then on topcoat I've built the area up with extra "spot" coats of paint to close in the divet from the repelled paint. Next I polish it level again with polishing pads only problem is that the paint is so thin over the magnet you really have to be careful or you'll burn through to thin primer and start all over again.

I never had any problems with resin after major modifications. The only problem that I had that some of the very old resin bodies that I have are changing from white to a yellowish white over the time. Norm's stuff is top notch, he is one of the best casters or should I say the best? I never used these magnets before. I hope the they hold the doors close after I had painted it. Lets see

What a great body you're starting with. Let's see, how can I rephrase that? Ah, never mind, it makes the point anyway. The changes you're making to the Hirohata-ized Lincoln are really fine. Nice job on that flathead big block too. It will look just right in the engine bay. Gary

Aw man, now that is exciting. The MCG strombergs will probably look much better than those AMT '34 carbs.
Have you been sizing your parts to fit the Kitchen Table Resins 337 engine, or basing your measurements on 1:1 reference? When I was trying to make a 337, I had a tough time figuring out the dimensions of various parts.

Have you been sizing your parts to fit the Kitchen Table Resins 337 engine, or basing your measurements on 1:1 reference? When I was trying to make a 337, I had a tough time figuring out the dimensions of various parts. Yes it wasn't that easy to get the parts right. I had some pictures from the H&H Flatheads catalog and homepage.I try to make them fit to the Kitchen Table Resin engine. When I look on the resin engine it seems that it did look right. The angle of the cylinders for exsample or the angle of the heads o the block or the front cover.Tthe biggest mistake is the lack of the distributor . It is a basic engine. I wish that I have access to a real one, but to find a 239 or 255 cui here in Germany isn't easy as well. I'm in the lucky position that I have a '52 Ford F1 with a 239 Flatty in my Garage and a spare 255 cui flatty to rebuild. I only know one '51 Lincoln here in Germany and that has a Chevy engine. Oh my god!

Glad you're keeping the Lincoln mill. Those opening doors are going to look awesome. The Merc frame looks like it was meant to be!
