Very nice so far. I have one of these in the basement in many pieces, it was a hard chop to get right. I love yours though, not too much, but definitely not stock either.

Thanks guys. Ed, that word had me guessing for a minute. I think your dictionary needs to be looked at once in a while.

Thanks guys. Ed, that word had me guessing for a minute. I think your dictionary needs to be looked at once in a while. I guess you never watched 'The Middle'! LOL! Their neighbor, Rita Glossner (a female version of Joe Dirt if you will), butchered the English language this way trying to tell the main character, Frankie Heck, "Don't you manipple-ate' me!" LOL!

Very ambitious; that does NOT look like an easy chop! I've never chopped a '49 before either. Every so often I think, yeah, I should give it a shot, but then the promise of dozens of hours sanding tends to turn me off. Looking forward to seeing more!

Hey now...it would help us AND you! hehe How can you argue with THAT? hmm? I was just giving you a hard time! LOL! I actually would not want to mold Gary's '49 Ford (or any '49 Ford) because I am at the limitations with what I can cast easily with the characteristics of the resin I use.......coupled with the new way I have been designing my molds. Basically, anything much larger than the small '30's era Ford bodies and my success rate will go down the drain. I simply do not have enough working time to cast larger bodies unless I were able to find a different resin that would meet a number of needs OR I go back to the old way I made body molds years ago; which would not be very agreeable to me! LOL!

Gary, on the door top you added some strip to rebuild and then sanded or filed the window trim step into it to match existing. How did you do this, I have trouble getting a nice clean result where I need to continue an existing step or window line. I hope my question makes sense.
