Just finished up my '32 Fordor Sedan using the conversion body for Revell's '32 Sedan kit by Drag City Casting. This project started a while back when I created the master body for Drag City to mold, cast and sell. Once I had a production resin body in hand I set out to build a 50's traditionally styled hot rod with it. Hope ya'll like it! - Drag City Casting '32 Ford Fordor Sedan resin body - Revell '32 Sedan donor kit - Frame back-dated with center "X" and rear cross member from Revell 1940 Ford's - Revell 1940 Ford's Columbia 2-speed rear axle with Revell 1948 Ford's radius rods and spring - '32 Sedan front axle and suspension with Revell '32 5-Window "hairpin" radius rods - Revell 1940 Ford's brake plates with Revell 1929 Roadster finned drums - Revell 1929 Roadster wheels and tires with '48 Ford hubcaps - ArDun flathead engine from Revell 1950 Ford Pickup kit-bashed with a Vertex magneto, modified Chevy finned aluminum style oil pan, Revell Tweedy Pie carbureters and AMT '32 Phantom Vicky lakes style headers - Full exhaust system bashed together with sections from Revell's '29 Roadster and '48 Custom Coupe - Interion from '32 Sedan kit with door lines reworked to match Fordor body - Revell '48 Ford steering wheel - Tamiya "Pearl Light Blue" over their light gray primer and sealed with their clear.

Well it's about time! LOL! It really came out great! Now I'm curious to see if your 4 door will beat out the competition when you are able to go to another model contest again! LOL!

Beautiful! So clean and organized, it looks like it came out of the box that way. I really dig the fuel line routing and fuel block, the taillight lenses, and of course that blue paint. I like the '29/30 kit's tires on this one, too...I generally find the sidewall cleats a little too chunky on the front tires from those kits, but on an un-chopped 4-door with an Ardun, built in this sanitary neo-trad style, they fit perfectly. And echo the backing plate fins, neato. Glad to see this one on the shelf

Super clean build as usual! Great color and color detail choices. I’ve been stocking up on the Revell ‘40, ‘48, ‘37 trucks, and of course the ‘29-‘30 and ‘32s. Can’t have too many!

It remains to be seen when another contest will happen. It’ll probably only take 2nd place since, as you point out before, I didn’t fill the gouge in the left rear door, LOL!!!

Only difference is instead of mounting them in the stock location on tips of the frame rails (which I absolutely can not stand on a fender-less ‘32!) I moved them back by the body so they look integrated rather than thoughtlessly slapped on. The lenses are separate but clear as they come. I colored the backsides red with a sharpie then stuck them in with white glue. Worked like a charm!

If you’re serious about traditional scale hot rodding then you truly can’t have too many. I buy every one of those kits I can as I find them reasonably priced.

Only you can take a four door sedan and build a kickass hot rod out of it! You already know what all I like about it. So, I won't rehash that. Can't wait to see what's next!
