After mulling over a few ideas I decided to try my hand at turning the Amt/Ertl dragster into a competition roadster. I used the spare single engine Rail sides and fabbed up some cross members. I didn’t know what to use for a body but after some internet inspiration I decided to use a junk 29 Ford Model A roadster body over the chassis. It is really in the early stage right now. But I can’t wait to move forward with this.

Here are the wheels and tires I will be using. Usual Amt fare with the Firestone fronts and Goodyear Blue Streak Dragway Specials. Front wheels are from some version of Mpcs 57 Vette Gasser if I am not mistaken but aren’t set in stone as I don’t know their trakability. The rears are slotted mags from the Amt/Ertl 32 Ford Vicky kit. The front axle is from the same junkyard build of the body, Amt/Ertl 29 Ford Model A. Resin bucket seat is compliments of Mr. Ed Fluck!

A small update to show I am not letting this one get left behind. I am still slowly working on it. Nothing major. Just a spray and shoot.

Cool you mean build a competition roadster dragster? I would love to see a real one built. That would be cool.

I am still slowly plugging away at this. I need primer. Lol all my primer stoped spraying. I added a push bar which I forgot about. Some hairpins and I ditched the sbc for a 8 carb Hemi.

Well, I found my primer as well as I chose a colour. I hope you like it! I have to think of markings and designations now!

I have been trying to track (TRaK) lol down what kind of class this would run in with no understandable results at least to me. Lol Any help with class designations would be a great help.
