I could re-write history and claim that this came before the Little Red Wagon. Now it needs a catchy name. All comments welcome.
Thanks, Duane, for the inspiration (from the '34 pickup CBP thread).

Day 1 progress: stripped body paint (one coat of Tamiya spray came off fairly easily with some old, used ELO). Frame was stretched with polystyrene with steel wire pins hidden inside. I broke the windshield frame during stripping.
I discovered that the main Hemi engine from the '53 Stude kit had been used in another build. So, I hacked the 4-speed off the Hemi in the Revell 5-window and adapted driveline parts from the 22 Jr. competition roadster. Since the driver won't be able to reach the shifter I plan to put in a hydraulic cylinder and call it an in-and-out box instead of a transmission. The clutch will also be hydraulically operated.
Is that rear axle too new to be TRAKable? I have no idea what it is a model of.
My decal making will be limited to black or a dark color on an inkjet printer so that means that the body color behind the lettering will be white or a light color.
Thanks for the name ideas, guys. Keep 'em coming. I, too, was thinking of Hemi Hauler but several real cars have already used that one. Upchuck is pretty funny, but I don't think that a name like that would have been used in the mid '60s. Lickety-Split is a good one. I was thinking of having Hop Up magazine sponsor it but they stopped publishing in the mid '50s. High and Mighty would have been perfect but that was the name of the Ramchargers first car.

This is gonna be wild!
As luck would have it the "transmission" from the 22jr is an in-out box so you won't have to pretend that's what it is.
The rear axle from those '32 kits is a Ford 9", first available in 1957.

Name-wise, how about "Split Second"? "Lil Lifter"? "Twin-Fire" "Two High"?

Day 2: Cut an access hole in the roof, shaved the door hinges and cleaned up the body a little. Added reinforcements to the frame. Shortened the left axle housing so the pinion would be centered then hogged out the brakes to slip on. Filled gaps on the scattershield and painted it Aluminum Plate (buffing).
Dennis, thanks for the Ford 9" ID. Those ribs threw me off.
All, thanks for the name suggestions. I'm still up in the air (heh-heh, get it?). How about combining some of them to get "Split Up" or "Twin Lifter" or "Over & Out" or...? While looking for names, I came across this list of dragster names from 1950 to 1979: wediditforlove.com/carnames.html . It's only for rails so there were still a zillion funny car, super stock, gasser and other classes of names.

This will be cool.
How about "Bottoms-Up"? Logo could be a pair of martini glasses with crossed stems like a skull and cross bones. And the twin glasses would relate to the twin blowers.

I really like this one. I was disappointed to find that there was a real wheelstanding rail, drag boat and an MPC Jeep dragster kit with that name but they seem obscure enough that I think that the average guy wouldn't know of them. It's not PC to make fun of alcoholism but it would be perfect for the time. The engine could run on alcohol, the driver's name could be Dino (for Dean Martin) or Al Cohol, a sponsor could be D.T. Machining (for Delerium Tremens), the deco could include a pink elephant* with striping by Shaky (a real striper) and so on. For some NSFW results, try an online search for "Bottoms up" drag.
*Elephant was the newer 426 Hemi nickname but I could paint my old-style 392 pink (built by Ed Pink) anyway. The jokes just keep on coming.

I don't take it as making fun of alcoholism to call it Bottoms-Up. That was just a popular phrase among social drinkers. The puns are funny too.

Ooh, we have a winner in "Bottoms Up", with the crossbones wineglass/dual blower graphic concept. Well done! ROFL on the online search terms...yep, ya gotta be careful what you search for!

Day 3: We have a name — thanks, guys! Spent way too much time making pairs of sleeves for attaching the rear wheels. I'll be using normal-sized slicks instead of the cartoony ones in the Double Whammy kit shown in the first photo in this thread.

Day 4: Fabbed up motor and trans (in-and-out box) mounts, smoothed frame mods, replaced slicks with ones from the Revell Tony Nancy 22 Jr. kit. Made a mount for the seat (Revell Beatnik Bandit drag version), started on a roll bar, hogged out firewall and floor areas to let the "driver" have a view forward when up on the back wheels. Revised the art for the name logo.
Three days to go but I haven't even sprayed a bit of primer. What, me worry?
