Well the only set of 1958 Chevy Bel Air tail lights are in the Roth Outlaw. They will be used to make a 1/25 set because the kit ones are way too big. Scale out to be 1/24 scale.Oh for Modellhaus to still be here. I'm also looking at a set of AMT 49 Ford tail lights vertical and frenched deep. Paul

Isn't there a set of something real similar to 58 Bel Air tails in the AMT 64 Merc Marauder?

Very close but just a bit too big to fit in the rear panels. I made up a pair that with a bit more shaping and a deep frenching should look fine.

I actually like your tonneau cover that matches the roof scoop! neat design carry-through there. Interior is looking quite swanky too!

I think the problem with the tonneau cover is that the pieces are too thick. If you used thinner plastic or inset them they would look much better. It doesn't mimic the interior upholstery so you might want to try an inset ala Ed Fluck. Perhaps some tuck and roll from half round Evergreen down the two sides in line with the seat tuck and roll? Keep up the great work.

The cover that is shown all three layer are made of .015 with .010 rod for piping. That cover was scrapped because the cover sagged with out supports all across the bed. The new cover is much different and less busy. The seat is not locked in to be used yet, mainly because I'm not a tuck and roll fan and I think buckets and a long console are more along with to the body mods. I generally modify the "plan" quite often. Paul

Duane, so far only the base color, a silver metal flake. Crossed between Scallops or a multi color Watson style fade. Got the interior revised with the start of a full console, filled center dash board ,steering column located and buckets test fitted with new mounts. Added a sunken license plate in the tailgate. Called it done on the body work and put the base color on it. It's Pactra Silver Flake for R/C Lexan bodies. I'll let it gas out for a few days and put a double coat of clear on it before laying out the next colors. The clear is only a barrier for ease of removing any errant bleed through of the candies. Got the interior in prime tonight with a small shadow mark in center of the dash board. A quick application of Mr Liquid Putty with make it go away. Added in the dash end of the console a Radio Fader unit and a shifter boot trim plate. Made a floating arm rest for the "Space Age" look. . Still looking for the AMT Telephone from the Villa Riviera kit, probably way in the bottom of the parts box. Set in for a test fit the Revell 1958 Corvette 283ci 240 hp engine with 4 speed but may us the AMT 1958 Impala 348 instead. Paul
