Eric, That one looks great! I like the "organic" colors you chose, so late 50's, early 60's, so just right for this car! Total Box Stock (?) and it looks amazing that way too!
I've always wondered what this one would look like with a Potvin supercharger setup protruding through the Model T grill shell, not that I don't like the Latham setup either, both look a ton better than the normal run of the mill GMC top mount set ups!
Thanks for sharing this little gem!

Awesome! It turned out very well. This is a classic kit that can be forgiven its inaccuracies and chrome blemishes because it's the "real deal", a true 60s time-capsule kit. I like how you chromed the header flanges...that's a detail I'd never really thought about!
I love the idea of a 1-day build but I can never square that with the price of a kit...I want to drag my fun out for longer, if possible! Still, one of my favorite projects so far was a "quick build" and I'm itching to do another.

Thanks, guys.
Chris, I still have 3 1/2 more Double T kits, so I can justify a quickie build on one.
I just wish I had remembered to start mocking up the headers before I put the drag link on. I pinned it to the body at the pitman arm end, so I'm kinda committed to the location, unless I want a blemish. I'm sure it's supposed to go under the exhaust. The more I look at it, the more awkward it is going over the top. Oh well, lessons learned for the next one I guess.

Eric; your '25 is one of the few builds, that; i like. i've always thought that AMT made two mistakes on the '25 Ts, the chop is too deep, to me, the body looks out of balance and the rear deck of the roadster should have been included as an option.

Great job Eric. I too love those kits. You certainly installed the drag link per the kit instructions. The funny thing is that the steering wheel mounts a scale foot or more to the rear so the drag link should have been somewhere around mid-door. As I've been building all these old AMT kits I've noticed lots of things that were wrong that I didn't notice as a kid. I still love them regardless.
Just curious, but most of the pictures the body and engine look purple, but the interior shot the engine and seats look blue on my screen. I know they are all the same color so which is it?
I agree with Duane that the chop on the kit is too deep and the Tall T double kit the stock coupe is too tall and ungainly. I'm not sure if I ever finished the 2nd kit in either of those as a kid. I know I finished the hot rod versions.

On the drag link, I just meant I should've put it a little lower on the cowl, so it would ride under the header. Yeah, the steering wheel is way aft of it, and there's no steering box whatsoever. Kits have come a long way since then. :-) I don't remember any of the TS numbers on the sprays, but the body is Tamiya Purple. The chassis, floor, and axle ends are Tamiya Gunmetal, I think. The engine is Tamiya Deep Metallic Blue (I think is the name, it's the leftover 1/4 of the can that I used on the 39/40 Ford sedan here). The seats are Tamiya Mica Blue, another partial leftover can. Both blue colors took several coats to get full even coverage due tot he shapes of the engine and seats, and the angles I was spraying from, so the engine is darker than it oughta be.

Amazing what colors you lose when displayed on a screen. Of course it could just be that my eyes are really old. Again great job and thanks very much for the reply.

Looking good Eric! The original issue of that kit had a notch on the inside of the cowl you could cut out to locate the drag link. I drilled a hole for mine.

Dave, Did you "Wedge" Chop the top on that T-Coupe? Or don't I remember the side windows not being squared up with the lower beltline?
Either way you view it that's one nicely constructed T-Coupe. Only one slight bit of constructive criticism, take it or leave it for what it's worth. The headers could be detached and re-glued to better fit to the exhaust ports to eliminate the slight bit of visible gap-o-sis. If you are preserving in as built condition disregard this bit of niggling, nit picky, droll.... Yeah, I am familiar with the fit issues with some of the Trophy Series kits, if I remember right the headers were one of them, with a whole lot of parts coming together competing for space.
I often find minor stuff like this on my own models, especially when doing consignment work with the camera. The lens isn't as easily fooled as the eye is. Our brain interoperates what the eye sees then fills in the familiar shapes, sizes, gaps, etc.. So stuff that I've looked at literally a bazillion times stands out as glaring (to me) especially body work, I find areas that need work all the time that way. Either way the camera is a great tool for constructing higher quality models, (to me at least!).
OH, Yeah, I almost forgot (with all my ranting and raving so early this morning, 05:15 AM on the west coast and just half a cup of coffee gulped so far...) I really like what I see with the way you built your version of the Chopped '25 T-Coupe, it deserves a Trophy too... If it's an original, it got a Trophy so there you go! Very cool little T! LoL!
