Sweet! Now that's what I'd call a Deuce Roadster! It's got all the really nice, simple flavoring of the original LiL' Deuce Roadster, yet it says tons more than what's there; it screams '32 Ford!
Please, push in that Left Rear White Wall, it looks like one of those old Port-A-Wall fake whitewall's at speed! LoL! That would be the thing that I hate about the Monogram whitewall tire inserts, they either don't fit really well or they pop loose after assembly. Even worse on the resin copies.

Jeez, i didn't even notice how badly those rear whitewalls are sticking out. It must be highlighted by the bright photography lights. Now I just need to cross my fingers and hope i don't do any damage to anything as I try to take the wheels off. Not happy about that at all. edit- i fixed the whitewalls and new photos have been inserted into the original post

hmmm..now you need a white one Craig...well...a white one to paint red... Funny you should mention that. I have a bigger project on the horizon that I hope to tackle this winter with just such a build in mine, but with a little twist. Need to scrounge up some more LD parts first.

As far as Monogram ‘32 Roadsters go this is one of my favorites that I’ve seen. The color scheme and parts choices are perfect! It just looks good from every angle. Nice work, Craig!

I'm a big fan of this vintage of Monogram hot rod models because they capture the period they were created in so perfectly. This combination of Monogram parts, executed as well as you have, is exactly what I'm referring to. Bravo!

What are you gonna need Craig? as far as LD parts? I am infatuated with these kits, and all their subsequent versions now. I'm always on the hunt for any parts and builtups from these, especially the original 4 (usually unbuilts go beyond my budget). But to build the LD I have planned for the future (hopefully this winter) I will need a set of wheels (and tires). I know the wheels from the Lil Coffin are very similar, but the supply of those has nearly dried up or became quite expensive since people started hoarding everything Revell/Monogram after Hobbico went belly-up a few years ago. I think I have a grille, firewall and taillights, and if not I can get them from Norm. But I always prefer using vintage plastic whenever possible.

I managed to get the wheel assemblies off and broken down without much damage. I'm so glad i started using 5 minute epoxy for 99% of my final assembly anymore. The only thing I can think of is that the inner "shelf" on the tire where the wheel rests was thicker than normal, causing the wheel to sit higher and protrude out the top of the tire, causing the whitewall to sit proud of the tire itself. i had to sand down the backside of the wheel lip to allow it to sink further into the tire. I took a few new pictures and replaced most of the rear shots of the car in the above post. Nerve wracking to say the least, but worth it.

Hallelujah, the Doctor has performed a miracle!!!
I've always though that the Port-O-Wall look on the old Monogram whitewalls was that the whitewall was slightly out of round to the counter bore in the tire, happens mostly on the slicks Vs. front tire.
