i scratch built a bomber seat for the parts box rod i have been working on for awhile.... the seat is just "taped together" right now. i will brace it up and the center section will be brought up like it should so it's not so deep. Hosted on FotkiHosted on Fotki

I need to start fabing more stuff out of metal. Your seat looks great(no, I'm not hitting on you, ;D)
Was gonna fab a leaf spring for my caddy powered t, but the K+S metal selection doesn't come narrow enough.

It's coming along great. How did you get the bullet holes to look so real? Keep us posted on this one Bob. You just got me thinking about pulling some stuff out of my parts box and building a kit from them.

thanks guys! sorry i didn't know anyone responded to the bullet holes. i got this idea from "geezerman". i took the smallest bit i had *almost as thick as a hair* and put the initial holes in. i then took a bit that was about 5-10 times bigger and "rounded out" the puncture wounds. i used model master metalizer laquer "steel" to make them look fresh. i am not done adding rust to it. the body is supposed to look like a field find that has been shot by hunters. now bringing it forward, someone found the car in a field, brought it home and built a hot rod in their own garage, not worried about how pretty it was. hope this helps. ;D
